The background on the brown cardstock came out from embossing a mushroom border stamp : )

I’m going to miss not making cards for the next few months. Ah well, I’ll make sure to draw down any ideas I have for when I come back. : )

So, basically I meant to make the square see-through, but the ink wouldn’t dry on the vellum. So I ended up having to put a piece of blue cardstock underneath. Next time, less color, or specialized ink. To get the image, I stamped the angel in black on vellum, then took a brush and painted in the colors with stamping ink. I love it! I embossed the stars and the wings. : ) (Inspired by kwernerdesigns.com)

I love the angels from this stamp set. They’re so pretty! So basically, again stamped the angel in black, but this time on white cardstock instead of vellum, then painted in the colors. It’s quite a big card…Idk what I’m going to use it for.

So, I did end up going back to A.C.Moore for more stamps, that’s where I got the Angel stamp set. Turns out all the $10 sets were marked down to $7. I do feel for my wallet though so I’m going to stop but, inside I really wanna go back.

Clear block, Cherry Blossoms vellum (I used the other sheet on the Angel from the first card), brush.

I actually wanted to find a Blender Pen because that’s what I’ve seen other people use to paint their ink with, but I could not for the life of me find one at A.C.Moore so, I opted for a brush. I freakin love my brush. Lolz. It’s perfect : )

Angel stamp set, two more of the flip book stamp sets.

I can’t wait to make more stuff! Gah!

First thing in the morning…lost my earring! One in the pair I wear the most too…dam these two part earring thingies with the loose butts! I guess it’s just a pair of earrings and I can get another one…but not until the far, far future because earrings are expensive! Aish…I should rotate my earrings more, so I don’t get attached. Lolz. Why not just buy a fake pair, you ask? Fake metal makes my ears go red and itch and burn. I know, what a curse. Aish aish aish!

So, it’s Wednesday. Wednesday….10:20 in the morning. Next Wednesday at 10:20 in the morning I’ll be….flying to California. Yayyy.

Did you guys know that I have a thing for crafting supplies? Because I do.

This is going to be my Au Nhi Idea notebook. Lolz. Getting quite ahead of myself…

Cool embossing stuff!

DSC_0005
And of course, stamps!

I’ve been meaning to get those flip book stamp sets for awhile, so cute! But the posted price was $10 so I didn’t get them for awhile. Yesterday at check out, turns out they were only $6-7 each (of course didn’t find out until I got home). I might go back for more. : )

Kind of random…I just ate a Dove chocolate, one of many I’m sure (who’s bright idea was it to put the office’s candy jar at my desk?!) and the little message says: “You do not have to clean like your mother.” Excellent.

So, what did I do with all that embossing and stamping supply?

This layout has such weird spacing settings. Ah well.

I’m probably going to make more cards tonight. I will most probably go and get more of the flip book stamp sets too. Dammit, why have I no self-control?!

Picasa isn’t very good for posting on WordPress.

I have a lot of pictures that I want to post. Photobucket ruins the quality of the pics, Picasa’s sizing and posting is all weird, and the quality is kinda bad too, Flickr seems to be the only one that’s working kind of well. So….I paid for the premium. Unlimited uploads, 2 years, $50. Yay….? We’ll see. But, the good news is…PICTURE TIME!

So some cards I made awhile ago:

I had no idea what to make as a grown man’s card, so I just did buttons. Lolz!

S’all for now! I have a batch of Thank You cards to make for myself, then a batch of ordered cards, and then some more just to have on hand while I’m away. Ah! All in a week!!

Get Well Card   Leave a comment

Another card! I is on a rollllll.

My violin student fell while playing in school and cut/bruised his eyes. He’s also in youth group so, I made him a Get Well Soon card and had the kids sign it.

– So when you first open the card it looks like it’s just a normal card –

– But in actuality, it has a lot more panels and therefore more signing room. We have a lot of kids –

Lookie some cards I madeee!!!

A card I’m sending my pen pal in Singapore. She doesn’t know my blog, I tell her my blog address in my letter, so she won’t be able to visit my blog until she gets the letter and the card, therefore it’s OK for me to post this here. : )

Arg! I had to use my Sony Point and Shoot to take the pics of the Baby card. It was too late for me to sneak outside to the closet (which is right in front of Mother’s room) to take her camera and use the memory card for my DSRL, so of course the quality of the close ups are terrible but, you get the point.

S’all!! : ) I’ve been really loving making cards lately, more than usual Heeee.

ngày xưa ngây thơ nên tôi đã tin em   Leave a comment

trọn tình yêu trong tôi trao hết cho em

This post began (weeks ago) as an attempt to explain my unfulfilled need to be swept away by a knight in shining armour who could fly and make the skies move, and my unhappiness at the lack of chivalry in today’s world….but I got lazy and lost my train of thought so now it’s going to be a random post onnnnnnnnn…………..

MY CAMERA! HEEHEEHEE!!!

So, as I’ve probably mentioned before…my Nikon D5000 DSLR came a few days…weeks? ago. The weather outside, however, has been murky and gross, it’s as if the heavens are grey with want and are waiting for a chance to storm but at the same time are afraid of the humans’ complaints. That and, I haven’t been taking the bus like I’m supposed to. Taking the bus gives me a chance to walk around because the bus stops are a ways away from my house and my work place but, it’s refreshing. Because I’ve been needing to drive to school after work and taking the bus home to get my car and then go to school would take too much time, I’ve also gotten in the habit of waking up late and so even though now I’m pretty much done with going up to school, I can’t wake up early enough to take the bus. So, the pictures I have taken with my DSLR have been few but, hopefully within this week, starting tomorrow maybe even (fingers crossed that I’ll go to bed early starting tonight) I’ll be out and about taking the bus and stuff and therefore will have more photos. For now, here’s some random ones!!

MAIL! From Singapore!! I joined this…blogger penpal thing. We basically just added our names on this person’s blog, and she arranged it so that we’re partnered up with people to be each other’s penpals. Mine’s is named Juan, she’s Chinese and from Singapore. She’s so sweet! I can’t wait to write back to her and send some of my own sweets! : )

Photobucket
Heeeeeee : )

So honestly, the only other pictures I’ve taken with my camera are uglier versions of the pics I posted. Lolz. For a point I really wanted to return my camera just because it was so expensive and I didn’t feel like I would be able to use it. But, thought about it, realized that I’ll need it in Japan. Even if I do return the DSLR, I’ll need *a* camera so I’d have to buy another one anyway, and then in the future I probably will buy a DSLR so what’s the point of returning the camera now, buying another one, and then buying the camera again in a few years? So I’m just going to keep it. I have to really try and figure out how to work it though. Blah.

Anyway……

Sometimes as I’m sitting at work I’d take off my heels and play around with them, like roll them around and stuff, and then just let my feet hang free for a bit because heels hurt, and then I’d try to find my shoes again and they wouldn’t be where I thought I’d left them. All this while looking at the computer screen of course. Does that ever happen to you? I don’t like it, because when that happens, I feel anxious, like somebody took my shoes. And then I’d actually look down and they’d be way far from where they’re supposed to be and I start to freak out a little.

Herm….I kind of want to sell my Cricut. Idk, I don’t use it very much. Granted, I absolutely LOVE the Hello Kitty Cartride, but the other ones….they’re not that great. Out of 1 cartridge I probably use about less than a quarter of the images (Yes, even the Hello Kitty one). And the thing is, even though  you can make the images big or small and really work with the colors and stuff, it really depends on how much papercrafting you do and the diversity of your customers and stuff. Idk, with the Cricut, there are only a few images per cartridge that I can use over and over, and even then it gets boring. The other images I don’t use at all. I’d rather get something that I can reuse all the time, like the Cuttlebug and stuff, and stamps! I’m figuring out new ways to use stamps. I saw a bunch of really uber cute ones that would work for a lot of occasions but I didn’t get them because I have no moohlah. Man, selling the Cricut would give me back at least $300. Do you know many stamps, how much cardstock, ribbon, ink that is? Quite a bit. Hermmm….something to think about I guess. And you know…I can’t really bring my Cricut with me to Japan. It’d probably be pretty useless since it’s not like I use it all the time, and it takes up so much space. But throwing in some stamps (the clear, acrylic ones), a stamp block, some ink, pens, and paper won’t take up that much space at all. Idk if I will try to bring my papercrafting with me but, thinking about it that way, selling the Cricut in favor of more stamps and stuff just seems smarter. I do really like the Hello Kitty stuff though. Hermmm, maybe I’ll just cut out and assemble a bunch of the images that I would use, and so then I could just stock up on them…TEEHEEHEE….and then sell the Cricut. BUT ALL IN 2.5 WEEKS? O NOOOO! : ) We’ll see.

S’all for now! I hope it rains/snows a bit today so I can take some snaps.
